Fusion Flavours: Magic Momo x Eggbreak Supper Club

It’s the return of supper clubs at Eggbreak, and what better way to kick it off than with our long-term collaborator and supper club magician, Daisy from Magic Momo? Since meeting in a record shop in Shepherd’s Bush a few years ago, one of Eggbreak’s top eggs and Magic Momo’s founder, Daisy, have fostered a longstanding friendship over a shared passion for inventive food and unparalleled hospitality. Almost a year since the last event, we’re honoured to host our fourth supper club with Magic Momo on 24th May 2024.

Daisy’s supper clubs are a particular favourite because of the unique flavour combinations she brings to the space. To give some background, Daisy spent over a decade at the helm of a fusion restaurant in Ko Phayam, Thailand, where she used heritage and experience to blend traditional Thai and Indian flavours with an expert flair. After returning to London to find a new crowd to feed, Daisy started Magic Momo in 2022 and, since then, has catered numerous events in countless locations across the city. After closing a successful pop-up at Mother’s Ruin Gin Palace in Walthamstow earlier this month, Daisy brings her flavour combinations west of the river with a cosy supper club in our relaxed Notting Hill dining space.

As the name promises, momos are the main event with Magic Momo. For those unfamiliar, momo is a dumpling from the Indian sub-continent typically made with a meat filling and served with accompanying spiced sauces. Guests attending the upcoming supper club will experience a mouth-watering selection, including butter chicken, prawn, and shitake mushroom and walnut, enjoyed alongside vibrant, fresh dishes like watermelon tostada and ube panna cotta. Plus, if any of our regulars plan to stop by, you’ll see the friendly faces of the Eggbreak team showing off their skills by serving cocktails paired with each dish.

This supper club is particularly exciting for us as the menu includes our collaboration of the month: a cod slider with green chutney served on a brioche bun. If you haven’t tried our new monthly special yet, come on down and enjoy it with Daisy’s complementary creations.
